Super flyweight champion Naoya Inoue was doing some mitt work with his trainer, his father, when one of his punches was apparently so powerful it broke his father’s wrist. His brother, top rated bantamweight, Takuma Inoue, is finishing the mitt work in place of his father for the remainder of the camp.

Inoue has added more power to his repitoire by strengthening his lower body more this training camp. His father felt it and so did the super bantamweights he was sparring with.

Inoue will face Ricardo Rodriguez in a WBO mandatory fight this Sunday in Tokyo. A win (which is likely) and he could find himself in a fight stateside this September.
