We saw last month Srisaket Sor Rungvisa surprisingly get the decision against now former P4P champ Roman Gonzalez. With the win Sor moves up two places in the super flyweight division while Gonzalez falls two spots, with Carlos Cuadras right between the two. (Cuadras notched a win on the undercard of the Gonzalez-Rungvisa fight.) A rematch is expected between the two pugilist’s sometime later this year.

Hey, man this is tough because i still have Gonzalez ahead of Caudras in the super flyweight division. I didnt think Caudras was impressive on undercard. I still have Gonzalez on my p4p list. I also have Ward number one, even though i thought Kovalev won the fight. Weird…i know. Lol
Agreed. The science behind rankings isn’t exact. In a normal numerical driven sport, a team that one goes higher than a team that lost. It seems in boxing that sometimes a loss is more impactful than a win. In the case of Cuadras, while it wasn’t necessarily his best performance against his best opponent, his record improved while Roman’s did not. I try to weigh the other factors as well which is why I kept Ward and Kovalev tied. Gonzalez is still on my P4P list but in that particular division, where he’s still new and not natural, he has some limitations as we have seen with his lack of KO power in his team fights there.
