Terence Crawford last night moved to 29-0 with maybe his most impressive win to date in defeating WBC champion and previously undefeated Viktor Postol. Crawford was never in trouble against Postol and won by a clear unanimous decision with scores of 118-107, 118-107 and 117-108. In capturing the WBC title, he unifies the division with his WBO title. Clearly Crawford is the top dog at 140.

Don’t expect Crawford to unify the other two titles as the other champions present little upside  for Crawford beyond the titles themselves. With this being his PPV debut, Crawford has much bigger options, including a possible showdown with Manny Pacquiao on November 5th. Other recognizable names that present higher paydays than the unifying possibilities include Lamont Peterson, Adrien Broner, and Top Rank stablemate WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas.
