No Sparring has received confirmation that we’ll be in attendance for two of the biggest fights to close out 2015; Takashi Uchiyama vs Oliver Flores and Naoya Inoue vs Warlito Parrenas. This is a big achievement for the young blog as very few western media outlets will be present.

Uchiyama will be starring in his 5th New Years Eve fight in Tokyo- something of a new local boxing tradition. New Years is one of the biggest holidays in Japan and putting a major championship fight on this day makes all too much sense. Cinco de Mayo and the Mexican Independence Day for their part are two of the biggest boxing days in Mexico and America.

Bob Arum has already stated that Uchiyama would face the winner of the recent Walters-Sosa clash that ended in a majority draw. There’s little doubt Walters, the former featherweight champion, will get the nod to go up against Uchiyama, most likely airing on HBO in the first quarter of 2016.

Uchiyama is coming off an elbow surgery to repair torn cartilage. He’s currently No Sparring’s number one ranked super featherweight.

Naoya Inoue for his part is gaining a lot of attention in only 8 career professional fights, with 7 coming by KO. Boxing fans are already clamoring for a matchup between him and Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez, seen by many as the new pound for pound champion in Floyd Mayweather’s absence.

With such an exciting set of championship fights to close out 2015, stay tuned to No Sparring for your most important boxing updates. Don’t forget to LIKE our FB page and follow us on twitter @NoSparring
